This year, the Miami-based, globally recognized flagship event was honored by Miami-Dade County with an *official proclamation declaring March 28 as Ultra Music Festival Day*, in a ceremony presided over by County Commissioner Vicky L. Lopez. The designation reflects its longstanding role in the cultural and economic fabric of the community it serves.
“We’re grateful to Miami-Dade County for recognizing Ultra Music Festival with this designation,” said Russell Faibisch, Co-Founder and CEO of Ultra Music Festival. “Miami is our flagship destination and our home, and it has played a defining role in shaping our ethos. This recognition reflects the relationship we’ve built here over time, and we look forward to continuing to contribute to the culture and the broader community.”
Vicky L. Lopez, Commissioner, Miami-Dade County, District 5 added, “On behalf of Miami-Dade County, we are proud to recognize Ultra Music Festival and its leadership for their continued commitment to innovation, sustainability, and community impact. Their work not only elevates Miami on a global stage but also reflects the values and progress of Miami”
Ultra 2026 supplied a nonstop, multi-stage spectacle of world-class talent throughout the weekend, as #ULTRALIVE reached 42.5 million around the globe.
At the epicenter of the festivities stood Ultra’s Main Stage, which hosted heavyweights like Major Lazer, Hardwell, ILLENIUM, and R3HAB, who made his anticipated return to Ultra after 12 years. It was also the source of multiple highlights throughout the weekend that underscored electronic music’s rising influence in pop culture — a defining example being emerging Argentinian producer BZRP’s breakout Friday set, which featured cameos from Skrillex and Daddy Yankee.
That same night, former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was seen enjoying Martin Garrix and Alesso’s back-to-back performance, while Farruko popped out during Steve Aoki on Saturday.
The weekend culminated in a historic closing takeover from Swedish House Mafia on Saturday, whose curated “festival within a festival” tapped Eric Prydz for a rare back-to-back alongside Armand Van Helden, Kelly Lee Owens, Boys Noize, Afrojack and MPH.
The showcase also featured a poignant tribute to Avicii, who was a cornerstone of both Ultra and electronic music history. Sunday sustained this momentum with several appearances from reggaeton A-listers. J Balvin, Ryan Castro, and ISOxo (following his Friday headlining performance) joined DJ Snake as special guests, while John Summit closed out the stage with Feid debuting a new, untitled collaboration.
