The award winning Terminal V Festival has announced the next chapter in its evolution, revealing a major new outdoor home in Glasgow alongside the official dates for its landmark 10-year anniversary festival in 2027.
Taking place across Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th June 2027, Scotland’s largest electronic music festival will move to a new outdoor space, marking the first fully outdoor Terminal V festival ever staged in Scotland.
Further details on Terminal V’s new home in Glasgow will be revealed in the coming weeks as the festival begins unveiling plans for its 2027 edition. The move follows the festival’s announcement earlier this year that its April 2026 festival would mark the final Terminal V at Edinburgh’s Royal Highland Centre, closing a defining near decade-long chapter in the city before embarking on an ambitious new era.
Located in the heart of Glasgow, their new site has never before hosted a music event, marking a major moment not only for Terminal V but for Glasgow’s wider live events landscape. Long defined by its industrial aesthetic and uncompromising production values, the move to a striking inner-city location represents a natural progression for the team. The new site will deliver a unique multi-stage outdoor festival experience, combining Glasgow’s industrial heritage with world-class electronic music production and Terminal V’s unmistakable atmosphere.
The announcement comes as Terminal V cements its position as one of Scotland’s leading music tourism events, with more than 30% of ticket sales now coming from outside Scotland. Previous editions of the festival have contributed more than £5 million to the local economy, supported thousands of hotel stays, delivered a significant boost to hospitality businesses and supported more than 1,500 event staff and freelancers, alongside extensive investment into Scotland’s event supply chain.
Since launching in 2017, Terminal V has grown into one of the world’s leading electronic music festivals, ranked Number 1 in Scotland, Number 5 in the UK and Number 34 globally in the DJ Mag Awards and also winning Best Festival in their Best of British Awards. Over the past decade, the festival has welcomed more than a quarter of a million fans, hosting some of the biggest names in techno and electronic music while evolving into an increasingly international brand.
Alongside its flagship Scottish festival, Terminal V’s annual Croatian edition is now firmly established, following a major 15,000-capacity London debut at Drumsheds in 2025, with a 2026 return to be announced, and the launch of its first ever Australian edition this autumn, alongside further international touring plans as part of its tenth anniversary celebrations.
Between them, Terminal V founders and directors Derek Martin and Simon McGrath bring almost three decades of experience producing events across Scotland through EE Live, from intimate club shows to large-scale festivals and events. Under their leadership, Terminal V has grown into Scotland’s largest electronic music festival and a defining fixture in the European electronic music calendar.
Derek Martin, Co-Founder of Terminal V, said:"As we head into our 10th anniversary year, it felt like the right moment to evolve Terminal V once again. Creating our first ever fully outdoor festival in a new setting in Glasgow gives us the opportunity to take Terminal V to the next level, while staying true to the industrial identity that has always been part of the brand."
Simon McGrath, Co-Founder of Terminal V said: "Terminal V has grown hugely over the past decade, with audiences now travelling from across the UK and internationally to be part of it. This new setting feels like a natural fit for the next chapter of the festival, combining the industrial backdrop that has always been part of Terminal V with the opportunity to create something really special outdoors."
