Dirtybird & Another Planet Entertainment Announce Lineup For Third Annual 'Back To Baysics' on June 13 at Embarcadero Plaza

Dirtybird and Another Planet Entertainment today announce the lineup for the third annual Back To Baysics free concert taking place at Embarcadero Plaza on Saturday, June 13. This year’s lineup features Justin Jay, J. Phlip, Kevin Knapp, and Mat.Joe, bringing together longtime flock favorites for a daytime celebration rooted in San Francisco’s electronic music community.

Back To Baysics will once again transform the downtown waterfront into an open-air dancefloor, welcoming fans for a free all-ages event overlooking the Bay. Since launching in 2024, the concert series has quickly become a staple of Dirtybird’s annual programming, drawing thousands of attendees to Embarcadero Plaza for curated sounds from the homegrown house and techno label and reinforcing the imprint’s long-running connection to the city where it began.

This year’s Back To Baysics lineup reflects the breadth of Dirtybird’s orbit, from label mainstays to local selectors, with acts like Justin Jay and Mat.Joe, who have risen through the ranks into true Dirtybird Players, alongside staples Kevin Knapp and J. Phlip.

The event will also serve as the official kickoff to this year’s Dirtybird Flight Week, taking place June 13-21 throughout San Francisco. A week-long writing camp and event series, Dirtybird Flight Week remains centered around creativity, collaboration, wellness, and community, bringing Dirtybird artists together both in the studio and across the city. Last year’s inaugural writing camp resulted in a year’s worth of releases, capturing the spontaneous collaborations and left-field ideas that emerged from the sessions. That creative output will culminate in a multi-artist Flight Week Vol. 1 compilation due out June 12, setting the stage for this year’s next chapter.
