Monegros Desert Festival begins to shape its next gathering in the
desert. The organization has announced a first wave of more than 80 artists for its 2026 edition,
which will take place on Saturday, July 25 at its usual location in Fraga. This is only the first step
of a lineup that, once complete, will feature over 120 artists, consolidating one of the most
extensive and ambitious programs in the festival’s 33-year history.
A lineup that brings together legends and the avant-garde
The artistic proposal for 2026 balances the legacy of figures who have defined global electronic
music with the new phenomena reshaping the scene today. Among the highlights of this first
announcement are names such as Richie Hawtin, Amelie Lens and Paco Osuna—key pillars of
techno who return to the desert to lead 22 hours of uninterrupted rave.
Alongside them, the festival embraces the most powerful and current sounds with artists like
Klangkuenstler, Indira Paganotto and Fatima Hajji, guaranteeing the intensity required in such an
extreme environment. The lineup also spotlights the new generation defining hard and industrial
techno, including Fantasm, Héctor Oaks and Adrián Mills, as well as the highly anticipated
Brutalismus 3000.
“Each year the challenge grows, because Monegros is not just about music—it’s an experience
of survival and freedom. For 2026 we have designed a lineup that respects our roots while
engaging with what is happening right now in the global electronic scene. We want the desert
to become a city with a life of its own for 22 hours,” say Juan and Cruz Arnau, founders of the
festival.
An edition built on unique universes
In 2026, Monegros does more than book artists—it builds sonic territories within an ephemeral
city in the desert.
The crown jewel will be OUTWORLD. Monegros will be the only festival in the world to host this
stage, offering a 360o experience with a capacity for 20,000 people. More than 12 international
artists, yet to be announced, will perform in this imposing space, promising an unprecedented
audiovisual production.
In addition, several concepts that are setting the pace of contemporary techno join the festival.
240 KM/H arrives in the desert with its Face to Face format, a head-on clash between artists that
pushes tension and energy to physical limits. Unreal, a leading reference in dark and industrial
techno born in Germany, returns for the second time with an immersive staging designed to
completely envelop the audience. Meanwhile, the collaboration with Awakenings once again
brings its hallmark quality and top-tier production to the desert, recreating the essence of its
iconic events in the Netherlands. ARTCORE, the project led by Indira Paganotto, brings its
psytechno vision to Monegros—a hypnotic, high-voltage fusion that has become one of the most
recognizable languages in today’s scene.
The desert as the epicenter of rave culture
With this first announcement, the Arnau family lays the foundations for an edition aiming to
surpass expectations both technically and artistically. In the coming weeks, the lineup will be
completed with the remaining 50+ artists, and further details will be revealed regarding
infrastructure developments, artists by stage, and services for the thousands of attendees who
pilgrimage each year to the heart of the Monegros.
