Sound Waves Festival

On the 8th and 9th of July in Esmoriz, Portugal, Sound Waves once again achieved history by playing the best of Techno, Hard Techno, and Underground from the present scene for 21 hours. The BPMs were increased by the headliners Indira Paganotto, 999999999, Charlie Sparks, and Nico Moreno, shaking the entire venue. Fans' expectations were more than surpassed by Lilly Palmer and Fatima Hajji, who demonstrated why they are among Portugal's most adored foreign producers. With their performances, the up-and-coming musicians Cristobal Pesce with his Psy-Techno, tta, and Basswell with their Hard-Techno left the audience in a state of euphoria. Karlos Molina from Spain, Miss Sheila from Portugal, Carlos Manaça, Du/Art, and Ornella from Spain all took the stage during the musical marathon in Esmoriz and expertly guided the audience through Techno and its subgenres. Deelight, Tiger Lewis, and Vuddu performed at the festival's opening and gave everyone in attendance a raver sunset.

Throughout the night, the front row ravers that were there was surprised by some of the artists, such as Indira Paganotto , Øtta and Cristóbal Pesce. The 3 artists confirmed the enormous affection that the public has for them and did not hesitate to reciprocate. After their performance, they got off the stage to take pictures with the ravers. Nico Moreno, in the middle of his gig, danced to the front of the booth and infected everyone with his energy. Basswell also jumped on top of the cabin and impressed the audience in Esmoriz with his set.

Thousands of ravers from 24 nations, including Spain, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, the United States, Netherlands, Morocco, Ireland, Italy, Austria, Brazil, and many more, attended this sold-out edition of the Sound Waves festival with 30% women and 70% men between the ages of 18 and 24 made up the majority of attendees. Statistically, the Spanish ravers purchased the most tickets for the event in Europe, only to be overtaken by Portuguese buyers, who took first position in the central area, followed by Porto and Lisbon.

The Sound Waves festival debuts its winter edition with the Sound Waves Winter Edition in Lisbon, at Pavilhão Carlos Lopes, on December 2nd, from 9pm to 6am the following day.
