Earlier this month, Amnesia Ibiza celebrated its Closing Festival, drawing the largest crowd on the island and once again showing why its closing events capture an unmatched energy and spirit.
What’s the greatest challenge for a club? And for you? We share a common drive: the relentless push to move forward, to grow, and to reach for more—with patience yet unwavering determination. For a club with nearly 50 years of history like Amnesia, staying committed to this mission might seem challenging, but it continues to thrive.
Its dancefloors hold decades of club culture—a legacy that every electronic music enthusiast dreams of experiencing, one that no club, regardless of technology, can truly replicate. This weekend, Ibiza’s season-ending festivities reached their peak as Amnesia once again delivered a one-of-a-kind experience of music, dance, and celebration. So, what made this year’s Closing so extraordinary? Over two nights and a morning, more than 32 international artists came together to bid farewell to the season in an unprecedented event.
### Friday, October 11th – Day 1
Despite predictions of a quieter night, Friday quickly filled up as guests lined up from 10 PM, many arriving straight from the airport. British-accented English filled the air, and the buzz from the crowd spilled into every corner, including the outdoor spaces where clubbers snapped photos with event wristbands and exclusive T-shirts.
Italian DJ Dukwa set the perfect mood on the Terrace, with Jan following, bringing high energy that reached its nostalgic peak when he played Bicep’s classic “Glue.” In the Main Room, Les Schmitz kicked things off at 11 PM with “Party Time” by James View—the track that advertised the Closing Festival worldwide. A highlight of the night was Hannah Laing’s powerful UK Garage beats, peaking with her new track “Ibizacore” and energizing the crowd for Ben Hemsley, who debuted “Tidal” live. Malugi closed the Main Room with beloved classics, ending the night on a high.
On the Terrace, Friday night was a vibrant homage to house music. Resident DJ Danny Howard got the crowd moving with tracks like Lucas Alexander’s “Ouse it Up.” At 1:30 AM, Sammy Virji, a rising star, took over, captivating the audience with “Find My Way Home.” Later, resident DJ Sonny Fodera lit up the Terrace one last time for the season, and Claptone delivered a spectacular finale, closing out his residency with The Masquerade.
### Saturday, October 12th – Day 2
By Saturday, demand for tickets to Amnesia’s Closing Festival had reached a fever pitch, with fans filling the streets in search of tickets that had sold out two weeks prior. By 9 PM, fans were already sporting event T-shirts, prepared for a night to remember. Argentinians Manu Desrets and Londonground kicked things off with a fun, upbeat house music set. As the night wore on, standout sets from Sidney Charles, Caal, Cuartero, and Manda Moor kept the energy building. In the early hours, Rossi. ramped things up for the morning crowd, followed by Adam Beyer and Marco Faraone, who brought a harder sound.
The sunrise set by Jamie Jones and Joseph Capriati was especially emotional as visuals paused to honor Jackmaster, the Scottish DJ whose passing shook the music community. The energy on the dancefloor was electric, and the DJs kept the crowd moving with emotional highs, finishing with “Knight of the Jaguar” by DJ Rolando and a remix of “My Feelings for You” by Avicii and Sebastien Drums.
In the Main Room, an all-female lineup added a unique energy to the night. Onyvaa, Adiel, and Lilly Palmer captivated the crowd with their intense sounds, leading up to Nina Kraviz’s dynamic set. Indira Paganotto and Deborah De Luca followed, each bringing their own infectious energy that kept the Main Room packed and moving until dawn. The closing act, Luca Donzelli, delivered the final beats, sending off Amnesia’s most dedicated dancers.
The second day of Amnesia’s Closing Festival was a powerful display of music and emotion. The crowd, fully immersed in the moment, embodied the spirit of Ibiza. Even amidst a packed weekend of events, Amnesia stood out as the island’s defining clubbing experience, underscoring its reputation as a legendary closing event on the island.
