Winter Music Conference (WMC), the world’s longest-running electronic music conference, has announced the Final Wave of Programming for its 2026 edition, taking place March 24 - 26, 2026 at the Kimpton EPIC Hotel in Downtown Miami.
Building on the momentum of its First and Second Wave of Programming announcements, which introduced WMC’s two-track Industry and Creator format, the WMC x Label Radar A&R Pop-Up Lounge, and the official three-day Beatport Live pool party series, the WMC’s Final Wave of Programming expands the 2026 lineup with a special keynote conversation, newly confirmed artist speakers, and additional panels and workshops exploring electronic music culture, technology, entrepreneurship, fan engagement, and the evolving global music industry.
WMC 2026 Reveals Final Wave of Educational Programming: Panels and Workshops Shaping the Future of Dance Music
As the electronic music industry’s most influential gathering, Winter Music Conference brings together artists, executives, creators, and innovators to explore the ideas shaping the future of global dance culture.
For 2026, WMC introduces a two-track format - WMC // INDUSTRY and WMC // CREATORS - designed to serve the full spectrum of the electronic music ecosystem. Panels and workshops will examine the business, culture, and technology transforming the industry, from label creation and artist entrepreneurship to fan ownership, AI disruption, sustainability, and the resurgence of physical media.
The final wave of programming introduces new conversations bringing together globally recognized artists, platform leaders, and industry innovators to explore the key trends shaping the next chapter of electronic music.
Among the biggest announcements in the final wave, Armin van Buuren (DJ / Producer) will join Stephen Campbell (Apple Music) and Tim Sweeney (Apple Music) for a headline keynote conversation titled “The Power of the Mix: Artists, Algorithms & The Next Era of Dance Music.”
The discussion will explore the evolving role of DJ mixes in today’s music landscape, examining how human curation, streaming platforms, and artist storytelling continue to shape discovery and culture within electronic music. The session offers a rare opportunity to hear directly from one of the genre’s most influential global artists alongside two key figures shaping dance music programming at Apple Music.
Some of dance music’s most influential DJs and producers will come together at WMC 2026 to explore the skill that still defines great DJs: selecting the right records and building sets that move a dancefloor.
Presented by AlphaTheta, “The Art of the DJ Set - Selection, Storytelling & the Dancefloor” will feature four electronic music heavyweights - Sasha, Dubfire, Alison Wonderland, and Danny Daze - globally respected artists whose careers span underground club culture, festival main stages, and decades of evolution in electronic music.
Moderated by DVJ Lars, the artists will share insights into how they construct performances, approach track selection, and adapt their sets in real time, offering delegates a rare opportunity to hear directly from some of the industry’s most accomplished performers.
A newly announced session presented by L-Acoustics, “Beyond the Booth: DJs as Spatial Composers,” will feature Laidback Luke and Joachim Garraud in a conversation exploring how immersive audio and spatial sound technologies are reshaping DJ performance and the modern dancefloor experience.
WMC 2026 will also feature a special conversation presented by Beatport as Sara Landry (DJ / Producer) joins Robb McDaniels (CEO, Beatport) for an in-depth discussion on the evolution of techno culture, artist identity, and the global dance music ecosystem. Bringing together one of techno’s fastest-rising global artists with the leader of the world’s largest dance music marketplace, the conversation will explore how artists, platforms, and communities continue to shape the future of electronic music worldwide.
Among the panel highlights is “Beatport Presents: DJs Are the Original Influencers,” featuring Matt Edwards / Radio Slave (DJ / Producer), DJ Minx (DJ / Producer), Sonya Okon (Head of Label Partnerships, Beatport), and Lewis Kunstler (Music Director, SiriusXM), moderated by Travis Kirschbaum (Beatport). The conversation examines how DJs have long served as tastemakers and cultural drivers, shaping music discovery and community long before the rise of algorithmic platforms.
The conference will also present “Clout Doesn’t Last - Community Does: Building and Maintaining Brand Relevance in Dance Music,” featuring Andrew Emil (The Everyday Agency), Romy Harber (Believe / b:electronic), Arielle Free (DJ / Broadcaster), and Sunita Dhaliwal (AFEM), moderated by Alyssa Vera (Warner Music Group).
Another notable panel is “Fixing the Fragmented Fan: How Artists Can Finally Own Their Audience,” brings together Fabrice Sergent (Co-Founder, Bandsintown), Claire Wright (Co-Founder, BUDDY), Adam Rapchik (StubHub), and Abdallah El Bacha (Founder, AFTR DARK), moderated by Hana Braverman (FUGA / Downtown Music) for a discussion focused on artist data, fan relationships, and long-term audience ownership.
WMC will also host “Scaling the Underground: Independence, IP, and the Future of Electronic Music,” presented by The Circuit Group, featuring Dean Wilson (The Circuit Group / Seven20) and James Sutcliffe (The Circuit Group), moderated by Rida Naser Greene (SiriusXM / Studio X). The session will explore how independent labels and creative entrepreneurs are scaling underground electronic music globally while preserving artistic integrity.
In addition to panel discussions, WMC 2026 will feature a series of hands-on workshops led by globally respected artists, producers, and industry experts, offering practical insights across music production, creative development, and career strategy.
Workshops include “Zen and the Art of DJing: Balancing Craft and Creativity,” featuring Junior Sanchez (DJ / Producer, Brobot Records) and Romain Pouillon (DJAY Pro), with Doc Martin (Sublevel Music) joining the discussion and Sydney Blu (Change the Beat) moderating.
Another session, “From Studios to Screen: Careers in Film, Television & Commercial Scoring,” will feature Laura D. Smith (Film Producer), Martin Gutierrez (Sostereo), and VASSY (Artist / Producer), moderated by Ana Yglesias (Journalist), offering insight into the growing opportunities for producers and composers in visual media.
Technology and innovation will also take center stage through workshops including “EDM Tips Presents: Using AI Without Losing Your Sound,” led by Will Darling (EDM Tips), exploring how artists can responsibly integrate emerging AI tools into their production workflows while maintaining creative identity.
Rounding out the workshop programming, SoundOn Powered by TikTok will host a dedicated workshop featuring team members like Jeff Stempeck, Holly Espinosa, Shilpa Sadagopan, and Kristen Cusumano. The session will explore how artists and independent labels can navigate today’s evolving release landscape by connecting distribution, discovery, and audience engagement. Drawing on SoundOn’s global music distribution platform and its direct integration with TikTok’s promotional ecosystem, the workshop will provide practical insights on building momentum around new releases, reaching audiences at scale, and developing sustainable growth strategies in an increasingly competitive digital music market.
