Untold Becomes The First Festival In Europe To Offer Free HPV Testing And Breast Ultrasounds During The Event

With less than 30 days until the grand opening of the 11th edition, UNTOLD announces a new social campaign with a significant impact on women’s health. Starting from the fact that a large part of the UNTOLD audience is female, the festival organizers want to continue their mission of creating memorable moments, but also real contexts of care, prevention and support for their community.

For the first time in Europe, at a festival of this magnitude, UNTOLD participants will be able to benefit from free HPV screen testing, one of the most important methods of prevention in women's health. In partnership with the Renașterea Foundation, within the medical caravan present at the festival, free breast ultrasounds will also be offered, along with information and counseling services provided by specialized medical personnel.

Through this partnership, the Renașterea Foundation joins the UNTOLD ONE story with an activation dedicated to health, prevention and responsibility. The mobile medical unit will be located in the vicinity of the festival, where participants will be able to access free services in a safe, discreet and professional setting, offered by specialized doctors from the Oncology Institute in Cluj Napoca.

Mihaela Geoană, President of the Renașterea Foundation said “UNTOLD demonstrates this year that a festival can offer more than music and emotion, it can offer the tool to prevent health issues and even save lives. It is the first time that cancer prevention reaches the heart of a music festival, and for the Renașterea Foundation it is a truly historic moment. Health must be accessible wherever people live experiences that bring them together, and a festival is the place where we can reach the young audience. We will meet tens of thousands of women from Romania and around the world in Cluj, whom we invite to cross the threshold of our mobile unit, where they will perhaps have their first contact with an HPV test or a breast ultrasound. This year, the Renașterea Foundation celebrates 25 years of activity, and this premiere shows us that prevention can reach where it is needed most. Together with courageous partners, we can transform a festival into a space that not only creates memories, but can save lives.”

Andreea Esca, Ambassador of the Renașterea Foundation "Over the years, I have participated in many festivals, in Romania and around the world, and each time I have seen how much good energy these events can bring to people. This year, at UNTOLD, it is the first time that prevention is integrated into such an experience. Basically, a festival also becomes a place where people can take a concrete step to benefit from prevention. I am glad that, together with the Renașterea Foundation and UNTOLD, we can convey such an important message to a young generation: taking care of your health is an act of responsibility. I will be there too and I encourage all the girls to come and meet us, talk to specialists and have an HPV test or a breast ultrasound. I would like this activity to become a natural, even cool one, that you can tell your friends about: "I went to the festival and did something important for my health". I think that this way we can change perceptions, so that we no longer fear the doctor and to understand that a timely check-up is an act of self-care.”

Through this initiative, UNTOLD expands its activities dedicated to the community and encourages access to preventive medical services in an accessible and friendly context.

Ioana Chereji, Head of Communication UNTOLD Universe “UNTOLD means community and care for those who are part of our universe. A large part of the festival audience is female, and this makes us responsible to use the UNTOLD platform not only for entertainment, but also for initiatives that can have a real impact on people's lives. Together with the Renașterea Foundation, we want to bring access to prevention closer to the female audience, through free HPV testing and free mammograms, in a space where they feel connected, safe and part of a community. We believe that the magic of UNTOLD also means care, awareness, concrete steps for a state of well-being and most importantly, health.”

The initiative reflects the commitment of the festival organizers to offer participants a unique experience, to support projects with an impact in the community and to integrate, alongside the musical experience, activities that promote well-being, health, accessibility and social involvement.

For over two decades, the Renașterea Foundation has been carrying out national health education and free screening projects, and through its mobile diagnostic units it has carried out over 40,000 free investigations, including mammograms and Pap tests, in dozens of communities in Romania.

Zara Larsson, one of the UNTOLD ONE headliners, has been involved throughout her career in international health awareness and education campaigns, supporting initiatives that promote prevention and access to information, values that are also found in the activities carried out within the festival.

UNTOLD supports the activity of NGOs in Romania year after year and is actively involved in the campaigns they carry out, whether we are talking about health, environment or education.

UNTOLD, the third festival in the world for the third consecutive year, is a true space of joy, inclusion and responsibility towards the community.

The UNTOLD festival has reached its 11th edition, which will take place between August 6-9 in Cluj-Napoca, with a lineup that includes artists such as Sting, Zara Larsson, Lewis Capaldi, Flo Rida, Swae Lee, Martin Garrix, MËSTIZA, Kygo, Steve Aoki and many others. More details on untold.com.
