MDLBEAST and Apple Music bring Soundstorm sets to listeners in Spatial Audio for the first time

MDLBEAST and Apple Music are releasing exclusive sets recorded at Soundstorm 2025 in Spatial Audio, giving global audiences access to one of the Middle East's most iconic festival stages.

Spanning a mix of local, regional, and international talents, the live-recorded sets reflect the breadth and diversity of Soundstorm’s programming. Featured artists include Armin van Buuren, Alok, Elfuego, Omar Basaad, N.A.H, Nikaya, DJ Viva, The Engineers, Steve Aoki, Sidney Samson, and Gino & Enzo Ingrosso.

“Soundstorm has always been about creating experiences that reflect the scale and energy of the region’s music scene. Working with Apple Music, we’re extending that experience beyond the festival itself, giving audiences around the world a new way to connect with the music and talent coming out of this region,” said Talal Albahiti, Chief Operating Officer, and Head of Music at MDLBEAST.

Launching exclusively on Apple Music in Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos, the Soundstorm 2025 sets deliver standout festival performances in true multidimensional sound — marking the first time a live festival collection from the Middle East has been released in this format.

"By capturing these performances in Spatial Audio and bringing them to Apple Music, we’re giving listeners everywhere the chance to experience Soundstorm with immersive, three-dimensional sound. For listeners using Personalized Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking on AirPods, the sound moves around you, creating an experience that’s the closest thing to being there,” said Stephen Campbell, Apple Music’s global head of Dance, Electronic, and DJ Mixes.

Reflecting the scale, energy, and genre diversity that have always defined MDLBEAST’s flagship festival, the sets represent a significant moment for Saudi Arabia’s music culture — and its growing presence on the global stage.

Commenting on his own experience recording his set at Soundstorm, DJ Elfuego notes, “A DJ set is more than music, it creates eternal memories and shared moment between the artist and the crowd. Soundstorm creates those moments on a massive scale, and Spatial Audio captures them in a way that feels remarkably real. When I listen back to my set in Spatial Audio on Apple Music, it takes me straight back to that stage, that energy, and that connection with the audience. It’s the closest thing to reliving the festival all over again.”

The release marks another step in MDLBEAST’s mission to expand its impact beyond live events and connect regional talent with global platforms and audiences.

The live sets will be exclusively available today on Apple Music.
