Insomniac launches new underground venue Level 1 in Seattle with MEDUZA opening show

Insomniac has officially announced its first show at Level 1, a brand-new underground dance music venue developed in partnership with Bumbershoot

The venue’s debut show will take place on March 27, headlined by global house trio MEDUZA, marking Level 1's official launch as a premier destination for electronic music in the Pacific Northwest.

Located beneath Cannonball Arts in downtown Seattle, Level 1 is a purpose-built, 1,800-capacity space dedicated to house, techno, and experimental electronic music. The venue is designed to deliver a fully immersive experience, featuring a custom House Under Magic sound system powered by Danley and lighting installation by Maktive.

Level 1 is part of the larger Cannonball Arts center, Seattle’s newest contemporary arts center operated by the team behind the 53-year legacy of the Bumbershoot Arts & Music Festival. The space has been reimagined from a former Bed Bath & Beyond location into a cutting-edge cultural hub.

With a focus on cultivating underground dance music culture, Level 1 will host international touring artists, live sets, and late-night programming year-round. The MEDUZA show represents the first Insomniac-partnered event at the venue and its official introduction as a new home for both established and emerging electronic acts. Following the opening, additional programming is already underway, including a performance by Rebekah on May 8, with more shows to be announced this summer.
