Industry Leading MIDƐM+ Announces Return to Cannes for 2024 edition & reveals first speakers


MIDƐM+ is set to return to Cannes, France, from January 24th to 27th, 2024, offering a forum, marketplace, and music festival that provides numerous opportunities for connections, growth, ideation, discussion, learning, and success in the music industry.

This rejuvenated version of MIDƐM+ has been co-created by the community during the prequel edition and represents the voice of the industry, powered by those within the music business. The event will feature immersive events, thought-provoking conferences, impressive live concerts, and experiential activities while maintaining a business-oriented focus that can help expand and grow brands within the industry.

MIDƐM+ addresses the challenges faced by the music industry by bringing together top-level speakers, thinkers, insiders, and experts to brainstorm and collaborate, offering concrete solutions and discussing the industry’s future business trends. The theme for this edition is "DISTORTION," challenging conventions, exploring the impact of new technologies on classical/written music, discussing the role of music in the AI era, addressing the paradox of the artist-centric model, exploring music in gaming and virtual realities, and discussing sustainability in touring and festivals, among other topics.

The event features an impressive lineup of speakers, including industry leaders such as Sébastien Borget (COO & Co-Founder of The Sandbox), Jean Bourcereau (Managing Partner at Ventech), Srishti Das (Founder of Hivewire), Aranyaka Verma (Founder of Off the Wilderness), Bruce Hamilton (General Partner at Everybody Ventures), Robin Wauters (Founder of, Nick Holmsten (Founder & Co-CEO of TSX Entertainment), Anne McKinnon (CEO & Co-Founder of Ristband), Per Sundin (CEO of Pophouse Entertainment), Oscar Höglund (CEO & Co-Founder of Epidemic Sound), Steve Astephen (CEO & Founder of The Familie), and Lorrain de Silva (Managing Director of Best Nights VC).

MIDƐM+ has also created the Music Seekers+ (MuSee+) community, enabling active dialogue year-round among worldwide decision-makers in the music industry. The community meets once a year in Cannes for this flagship event, serving as the industry’s leading international business club and think tank. It brings together key decision-makers, founders, and associates of MuSee+, allowing them to define MIDƐM+’s editorial line and DNA while developing powerful connections through facilitated networking and community building.

Additionally, MIDƐM+ Start-Up Battles, a competition attracting leading innovations in Web3, Culture, Experience, AI, and Impact, invites startups founded in or after 2020, with less than 1 million euros in previous equity funding, to participate. The 50 finalists selected from the competition will receive start-up registration passes, visibility, and pitching time during MIDƐM+ 24, enhancing the event's value to the industry.
