III Points Festival announces the return of ::444::, its audiophile-focused stage experience, for its 2026 edition taking place October 16-17 in Miami. Designed for fans who want to experience artists beyond the constraints of a traditional festival set, ::444:: pairs extended four-hour performances with a world-class sound environment, creating a rare opportunity for deeper musical exploration and more intentional listening.
First launched in 2024, ::444:: brings together three partners at the cutting edge of the electronic music ecosystem: III Points, a festival known for connecting underground culture with large-scale live experience; L-Acoustics, a global leader in professional sound and spatial audio; and Apple Music, whose curated DJ Mix program brings audio captured on the world’s most culturally important dance floors to fans around the world while getting rightsholders paid.
At a time when many festivals are built around fast turnarounds and short performance windows, ::444::offers a different model: one centered on sound, duration, and intentional listening. The program features three four-hour sets each day, giving artists the freedom to explore deeper selections beyond the pace of a standard festival slot and build sets with the kind of patience typically reserved for clubs and all-night sessions.
Together, the partners have created a stage built for true fans of the genre, combining high-resolution sound, extended DJ performance, and spatial audio archiving in a format that is rarely seen at the festival level.
At its 2024 debut, ::444:: marked the North American festival live stage debut of L-Acoustics DJ spatial audio technology in an immersive configuration. The 11.1 surround system will feature the L-Acoustics L2 line array with patented Progressive Ultra-Dense Line Source technology. Unlike conventional left-right stereo mixing, L-Acoustics DJ allows sound to be positioned, scaled, and moved throughout a three-dimensional field, creating a more detailed and enveloping listening experience.
Each ::444:: set is also archived in spatial audio with Apple Music. The performances, room sound, and selected audience moments are captured through strategically placed microphones, then mixed in spatial audio with Dolby Atmos support so fans can revisit the experience after the festival. The project builds on Apple Music’s broader mission to preserve, amplify, and share important moments in dance and electronic music culture with a global audience.
“::444:: represents exactly what the Apple DJ Mix program was built to support: immersive listening, artist freedom, and dance music experienced with intention,” says Stephen Campbell, Global Head of Dance, Electronic Music & DJ Mixes at Apple Music. “By working with III Points and L-Acoustics to capture these extended sets in Spatial Audio, we’re helping preserve a rare kind of festival experience and bring it to fans around the world. It’s about honoring the energy of the dancefloor while giving these performances a life beyond the moment.”
The stage is located inside III Points’ signature black room warehouse, a former movie soundstage known for its acoustics and the same room where III Points began 13 years ago.
The stage reflects III Points’ broader ethos as a festival that has consistently connected underground culture, technology, and large-scale live experience without losing sight of the dancefloor. Its return continues the festival’s focus on creating spaces where artists can take risks and audiences can engage more deeply.
More information on ::444:: programming and participating artists will be announced soon.
