Forbidden Kingdom Will Return To Central Florida Fairgrounds In 2027

Global dance music experience curator Insomniac and its dedicated bass music brand Bassrush’s Forbidden Kingdom returned to Orlando for a sold-out 2026 weekend, drawing Headliners into an immersive domain of seismic sound, elaborate stage worlds, and a lineup of bass music’s most dominant names. Following the festival, Forbidden Kingdom has just announced next year’s edition will take place at the Central Florida Fairgrounds across three days from April 23-25, 2027.

Day one of Forbidden Kingdom 2026 started the weekend with a powerful opening, as Zeds Dead led the charge with a commanding headline set, while Liquid Stranger B2B Mersiv delivered a standout back-to-back filled with immersive, deep-bass intensity. Virtual Riot and Boogie T brought high-energy moments to the forefront, while Ivy Lab’s DnB sunset set marked their final Forbidden Kingdom set after they retire this year, soundtracking golden hour with finesse. As night fell, Kompany, PhaseOne, and REAPER drove the energy into overdrive, with rising acts like A Hundred Drums, Andromedik, HVDES, and Sfam rounding out a stacked day-one lineup that spanned the full spectrum of bass music. Across the grounds, the festival’s larger-than-life production was on full display, with a dazzling drone show and fireworks lighting up the night sky, while the Dragon’s Nest experience area spotlighted local DJs and surprise guests including Ghastly.

Day two of the festival brought the weekend to a close, with Subtronics delivering a headline performance that sent shockwaves through the crowd, while SVDDEN DEATH summoned his signature dark, unrelenting energy for a truly transportative spectacle. The highly anticipated Getter B2B Space Laces set proved to be a defining moment of the day, unleashing a barrage of precision-engineered drops, while ATLiens led a special ‘ATLiens b2b the homies’ with SVDDEN DEATH, NIMDA, PROSECUTE, CHASSI, GHENGAR, and OTSUKARE. Elsewhere, T-Pain’s genre-blurring DJ set added a playful and unexpected twist, as Deathpact and Grabbitz wove together cinematic and melodic elements into the festival’s sonic tapestry. The Masquerade takeover injected a surge of underground grit, while standout performances from DRINKURWATER, Mary Droppinz, Shanghai Doom, and YDG carried the momentum across every corner of the grounds, ultimately closing out the 2026 chapter on a blistering, high-impact note punctuated by another night of awe-inspiring drone displays and fireworks that sealed the weekend in cinematic fashion. Dragon’s Nest featured additional surprise guests on Day 2 including YDG, Kompany, and Avello.

The 2026 edition delivered a weekend of cinematic bass-driven spectacle, transforming the grounds into a fully realized frontier of colossal production, cinematic stage environments, and an all-encompassing audio-visual experience built for Headliners.
