Florian Picasso, the Vietnamese-French DJ and producer, is back with a new single titled 'Habibi,' under his newly launched label imprint, La Californie Musique.
In a departure from his usual sound, 'Habibi' incorporates Middle Eastern influences, featuring exotic guitar licks, enchanting vocal samples, and a pounding deep house groove. Florian Picasso describes the track as the perfect peak-time record in his set, building an Arab-influenced melody with a strong bassline and atypical sonic elements.
Florian Picasso has had a significant year, marked by the launch of his own label, La Californie Musique. His production work has been centered in the legendary family home and atelier of his great-grandfather, Pablo Picasso, resulting in a series of tech-house tracks with raw underground influences. The tracks have garnered support from electronic music publications, artists, and the dance community.
The ADE Special EP Red Light Grooves, featuring Florian's track 'Funk Decision,' showcased his collaborative efforts with artists from Ireland to Dubai. His summer anthems, 'Time' and 'Give Me Your Love,' demonstrated his versatility in the melodic realm.
Florian Picasso, a globally revered DJ, has graced the stages of festivals like Tomorrowland and Ultra Miami, secured multiple entries in DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs, and collaborated with icons such as John Legend and Nas. 'Habibi' marks another distinctive addition to Florian Picasso's catalog of club magic.
