Bootshaus, Germany’s treasure club in Cologne, hosts the mesmerising Techno Ballet Odyssey on February 27 and 28. Two unforgettable nights that blur the line between high art and club culture, bringing an immersive contemporary ballet into the heart of the dancefloor, on live techno rhythms.
For more than two decades, Bootshaus has played a defining role in shaping Germany’s electronic music landscape. Known for its uncompromising sound system, raw industrial setting and forward-thinking programming, the Cologne club now takes a bold step further by premiering a full-scale ballet performance designed specifically for a club environment.
On February 27 and 28, Bootshaus becomes the place where ballet meets live techno with style and grace. Dive in with A Techno Ballet Odyssey at Bootshaus this February
A Berlin-born performer project, A Techno Ballet Odyssey, is a must on the list of once-in-a-lifetime experiences. It reimagines ballet outside traditional theatre walls. The club audience is taken on a unique journey - a 70-minute ballet performance by the Berlin Ballet Company. The spectacle is choreographed for the dance floor, not the classical stage, with dancers moving across multiple platforms, surrounding the audience, and transforming the club space into an immersive, multi-level performance environment.
At the centre of the performance is a narrative of loss and rediscovery. The main character loses himself in the intensity of the night and slowly finds his way back to himself through powerful choreography, striking visuals and a unique live electronic performance by the Serbian techno artist Marko Nastić, the creator of the original music for A Techno Ballet Odyssey.
After the performance, the night transitions into a full Bootshaus club experience. The dancing goes on until morning with a techno-focused afterparty featuring Pauli Pocket (Kater Blau), SUDO (Drumcode) and Handmade (Tresor), reinforcing the venue’s reputation for high-impact, artist-driven lineups.
A Techno Ballet Odyssey is more than just a party. It represents a new way of experiencing club culture. The event reflects Bootshaus’ ambition to set cultural impulses and push creative boundaries. With its raw atmosphere, cutting-edge technology and immersive visual production, Bootshaus remains a place where electronic music is constantly reimagined.
VIP access to the event is already sold out, with a limited regular places still available. The last tickets for A Techno Ballet Odyssey and the afterparty at Bootshaus are available here.
