Conrad Taylor and sonofmidi transform Reagan's Berlin speech into a techno manifesto with "TEAR DOWN THIS WALL"

Tomorrowland Music presents "TEAR DOWN THIS WALL," the explosive new collaboration between Conrad Taylor and sonofmidi. Fueled by a sample from President Ronald Reagan's landmark 1987 address at the Brandenburg Gate, the track transforms one of history's most iconic political moments into an uncompromising techno statement.

The record opens with Reagan's unmistakable voice echoing across Berlin, before a wall of driving percussion and industrial-grade synths takes full control. Equal parts dancefloor weapon and cultural provocation, "TEAR DOWN THIS WALL" channels the spirit that made Berlin the spiritual home of techno. It is music that hits hard and means something.

Conrad Taylor has established himself as one of the most compelling voices in the new global techno movement. A German-American artist with a classically trained foundation in piano, he brings technical precision and raw dancefloor instinct to everything he creates. Known for his high-intensity, genre-fluid style, he has headlined venues across the US and Europe and captured worldwide attention with viral pop-up raves. He made history off the stage as well, becoming one of the youngest elected officials in US history before channeling that same drive into a fast-rising DJ career.

His remix of Rosalia's "Berghain" and previous releases on Tomorrowland Music have helped him share the stage with Sara Landry, Armin van Buuren, Yellow Claw, Bassjackers and many more. Most recently, his single "i like girls (i like boys)" with Flash Gea went viral after Conrad posted a video of himself dancing to the track in a public park, with almost the entire crowd spontaneously joining in, racking up millions of views across TikTok and Instagram. A master of the studio as much as the crowd, Conrad Taylor continues to push the boundaries of the genre. "TEAR DOWN THIS WALL" with sonofmidi is his boldest statement yet - to be witnessed live at Tomorrowland on Friday July 17.

Born Bennett Lewis in Greensboro, North Carolina and trained at the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at NYU, sonofmidi has spent over twelve years developing a hybrid sound that fuses hard dance music with pop, punk and emo songwriting. It was a six-month stay in Berlin that proved to be the turning point, exposing him to the city's industrial and forward-thinking underground and shaping the project into what it is today. Spanning drum and bass, trap, dubstep, hardstyle, bass house and hard techno, sonofmidi brings a genre-fluid intensity to every set and every record. "TEAR DOWN THIS WALL" with Conrad Taylor is the collaboration his sound was built for.
