A Barcelona-based music education platform is bringing electronic music culture off the screen and onto the tabletop with a new card game called Track Quest. Created by Aulart, the project is now live on Kickstarter and aims to celebrate nearly six decades of electronic music history in an interactive and playful way.
Track Quest invites players to test their knowledge by placing tracks in the correct chronological order using audio clips and carefully crafted hint cards. The gameplay is designed to be fast-paced and unpredictable, with opponents able to interrupt guesses by muting hints, stealing cards or activating panic timers. The result is a lively, competitive experience that blends music discovery with strategy.
The game explores the roots of electronic music, starting in the 1970s with foundational genres like disco and krautrock, and moving through the evolution of house, techno and beyond. Players will encounter a wide range of sounds and cultural moments, including nods to iconic artists. One example hint references a legendary French duo known for their robotic helmets and anonymous image, offering a playful challenge for fans to identify the act.
To keep the experience fresh, Track Quest includes 200 expansion cards that allow players to tailor each session to their tastes. These cards cover a broad spectrum of sub-genres such as house, techno, drum and bass, trance and dubstep, as well as more niche styles like hyperpop, Afro-house, IDM, trip-hop and EBM. The system encourages players to build their own mixes, much like curating a DJ set.

According to Aulart CEO Marc Marzenit, the game has been extensively tested with artists, producers and industry professionals to ensure both authenticity and fun. The goal is to create something that reflects the depth and diversity of electronic music culture while bringing people together in a social setting.
“Track Quest is an all-or-nothing mission to bring the first-ever electronic music board game to life,” Marzenit said. “This music is far more than a soundtrack. It is our culture, our history and our way of life. It deserves a place in our homes where we can connect, compete and celebrate it together.”
