After unveiling a sneak peek of the lineup during Amsterdam Dance Event, A State of Trance has now disclosed the complete roster for its inaugural event in Rotterdam, DESTINATION. The two-day extravaganza in February will feature a staggering 57 artists, catering to diverse tastes across the musical spectrum.
Armin van Buuren is set to perform on both Friday and Saturday, with special plans in store for each set. The event will also showcase iconic trance acts like Cosmic Gate, John O’Callaghan, and nilsix, along with a new generation making waves in the genre, including Ben Hemsley, Benwal, and Eva Vrijdag. A State of Trance DESTINATION will cover various subgenres, with Colyn, Innellea, and Mees Salomé representing the ethereal sound, while HI-LO, Maddix, and MORTEN provide a harder alternative. Notably, NWYR—W&W’s alter ego known for their thumping take on trance music—will make a comeback, adding an exciting climax to the weekend.
With the move to Rotterdam, A State of Trance is embarking on a new chapter. Over the past two decades, Van Buuren’s brand has consistently stayed relevant, and the DESTINATION lineup reflects its ongoing commitment. The event brings back icons of the trance scene and provides a platform for emerging artists shaping the future. A State of Trance continues to embrace alternative subgenres that seamlessly connect with the core of the brand.
In 2024, A State of Trance is expanding its horizons, transitioning from a single-day event to a weekender, introducing daytime programming, and even launching the A State of Trance Hotel. Tens of thousands of fans, both local and international, are expected to converge on Ahoy Rotterdam for what promises to be a historic event on Friday—the first page in A State of Trance’s next chapter.
